Grant History

Through the generosity of donors, the Coffeyville Area Community Foundation was able to award several scholarships to local students through funds established with CACF.  

Scholarship awards were presented to:

  • Rachael Vowell, Bache/Chapter DR PEO Scholarship
  • Meaghan Rettele, $100, John Charlesworth Swim Scholarship 
  • Denice Gonzales-Garcia, $1000, Kathryn Hayden Beeson Memorial Scholarship 
  • Tieraney Thornburg, $1000, Community State Bank Scholarship 
  • Bailey Jackson, $500, Order of the Eastern Star  Scholarship
  • Jonathan D. Allen, $500, Tim Brant Memorial Scholarship 
  • Brian Bennett, $500, Rick Lanning Memorial Scholarship
  • Taylor Adamson, $300, FKHS Class of 1965 Scholarship


Nine grants were awarded in Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 competitive grant cycles:

  • $400- FKHS Boosters Club to purchase a popcorn popper for stadium concessions.
  • $1420- Coffeyville Convention and visitors Bureau to purchase a sign to display historic information to tourists on the downtown plaza
  • $1000- Hannah's Promise to assist in matching funds to purchase a used van to transport residents.
  • $1476- Coffeyville Public Library to purchase 3 mobile hotspots called MiFis, from Verizon wireless for public use
  • $900 - FKHS Business Department to purchase an HP Sprout 3D design, scanning, manipulation and printing program.
  • $966 - FKHS Band to refurbish 3 sousaphones
  • $500 - Salvation Army Community Service Volunteers to assist with school backpacks, Christmas food and gifts and the food pantry. 
  • $1500 -SEK Area Agency on Aging for assistance with meals for seniors.
  • $500 - Kiwanis for graduate plaques and yard signs

Coffeyville Area Community Foundation accepts applications for grants in the February and August for its competitive grant cycles from charitable agencies and projects in Coffeyville and surrounding area. Programs or projects must demonstrate need and show how the program will benefit the community.  Additionally, programs that establish new or foster existing collaborations among various groups or organizations are considered favorably. Charitable organizations with an idea, project, or need are encouraged to apply for funding.
